Data we use

BizLDN uses account email addresses, usernames, protected password hashes, session records and hashed recovery codes to operate separate customer, business and admin accounts. We store policy acceptance records and notification preferences.

Storefront details, catalogue items and uploaded media support business listings. Appointment records include customer contact details, selected services, accepted booking terms and appointment times. Enquiries, messages and fraud reports support communication and moderation.

Purpose and access

Account, booking and messaging data is used to provide the requested service. Fraud prevention, rate limits and moderation protect the platform and its users. These purposes rely on performing our service agreement and legitimate interests in security; legal recordkeeping uses applicable legal obligations. Optional browser push notifications require your permission.

Approved listings may be public. Businesses receive contact and appointment details for their bookings and messages for their enquiries. Fraud reports and admin notes are private to authorised administration. Exact appointment addresses are not public directory data.

Providers and storage

Cloudflare processes hosting, database, media and operational logs. Stripe processes subscription payments and billing records; BizLDN stores Stripe references and billing status, not card numbers. Support correspondence is handled through Proton Mail. Providers may process data outside the UK under their applicable data protection arrangements.

Retention and your rights

We retain data for operating accounts, preserving booking and conversation records, handling disputes, preventing abuse and meeting applicable recordkeeping duties. Retention depends on the record and purpose. Deletion requests are reviewed manually; records needed for legal obligations or disputes may need to be retained.

Email support to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or to object where those rights apply. We verify identity before releasing or changing private records. You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies and notifications

Host-only session cookies keep each portal signed in independently. We use browser storage for installation and notification features. This release does not add advertising trackers. You can disable push notifications in account controls or your browser.
